NEW ROCHELLE – City Manager Charles Strome, III has announced his retirement from New Rochelle government at the end of the year.
A national search is planned for his replacement.
Strome began his service with the city in 1989 as director of Emergency Services and in 1982 became assistant city manager/city coordinator.
He was appointed deputy city manager in 1995, acting manager in April 2002 and city manager in November of that year.
