Levenberg worked for Galef for years in the 95th Assembly District, which includes Yorktown, Peekskill, Cortlandt and Ossining, and parts of Putnam County.

Levenberg is competing in a democratic primary that includes Westchester County Legislator Colin Smith and former Peekskill Councilwoman Vanessa Agudelo.

Rainey’s own run for Assembly was cut short by a petition challenge from Westchester County Legislator Colin Smith.
