YONKERS POLICE DEPARTMENT: National Police Week is celebrated to honor the men and women who risk their lives every day in the line of duty.
On Monday, May 16, Mayor #MikeSpano and #YonkersPD Commissioner #ChrisSapienza will kick-off National Police Week at the Unity Fountain in front of City Hall.
On Tuesday, May 17, on Nepperhan Avenue a street remaining will take place in honor of #YonkersPolice Officer #HaroldWoods who was shot in the line of duty in 1974.
On Wednesday, May 18, there will be a #YPD Promotion and Appointment ceremony in the ceremonial courtroom in City Hall.
On May 25, the #Yonkers Police Awards Ceremony and Memorial Service will be held at #UntermyerPark
The #YonkersPoliceDepartment's four precincts will be hosting open houses during the week.
